Suzanne currently lives in The Adelaide Hills in South Australia and works as a Clinical Lead for headspace Murray Bridge.
Since graduating 30 years ago as an Occupational Therapist she has worked in Public Mental Health Services in Australia and the UK. Suzanne has also worked for Community Health Services and Non-Government agencies, in particular in the Domestic Violence field.
It was during Suzanne’s work as a Family and Relationship Counsellor in a Community Health Service in Inner Melbourne in 2002 that Suzanne first received training in Single Session Therapy from The Bouverie Centre. At this time the team she was a part of piloted the use of SST as a way of managing an extensive waiting list and it was at this time, she witnessed the profound impact of SST for a diverse range of clients.
Suzanne’s most recent work with Single Session Therapy has been as Project Manager in the pilot of a 2-year project (2013 -2014) with headspace and The Bouverie Centre. This project sought to increase Family Inclusive practice in a youth mental health setting through the use of Single Session Family Consultation.
Over the last 4 years Suzanne has supported a project with national headspace and The Bouverie Centre that worked to imbed SSFC within 50 headspace services across Australia. This project has a significant implementation focus alongside of skill development.
