Dr Helena Williams is a GP in Blackwood and has been at her current practice for over 20 years. She has long held an interest in the policy/practice space, in particular relating to integration, and to that end has always juggled clinical, with other roles.
Helena is currently working at RDNS SA as the Medical Adviser for SA where she is assisting in the set-up of a pilot Home Hospital in southern Adelaide.
She is currently a Board Director on the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, and chairs the National Primary Care and General Practice Accreditation Coordination Committees for the Commission. She is a GP adviser for Return to Work SA and a Clinical Editor for HealthPathways SA. She was the Chair of the Southern Adelaide LHN Governing Council for 6 years and ran the GP Liaison Unit at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital for 18 months before it was defunded.
