Post session facilitator summary notes

  • Domestic Violence is a social disease – infects the home, has devastating outcomes, and can be prevented
  • Small actions and conversations can make a difference/ changes for those at risk – it can change lives and even save lives
  • Teamwork is very important from those in the home (victims) to the doctors, lawyers, police to get justice
  • Analogy: 1 finger (1 person) ,4 fingers (small group / family), fist (organisation or whole community) >> a fist is much more powerful
